With more than six year's of trial experience at the Dallas District Attorney's office, Jacqueline M. Dodd has tried over 150 cases. Her ability to negotiate, communication with and navigate the courtroom along with a strong work ethic allows her to fiercely represent her clients and their children.

A magna cum laude graduate of Texas Tech University, Dodd received her bachelor of science in Human Development and Family Studies. She continued her education by receiving her teaching certification in primary education with a specialization in early childhood development from the State of Texas.

Following her teaching certification, Dodd continued at Texas Tech University for law school. She was active in trial advocacy receiving several awards: Champion of the Tech Mock Trial Competition, the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, and was a member of the national mock trial team. Dodd was a founder and officer of the Texas Tech Health Lawyers Organization. During law school she gained a certification in basic mediation.

After graduating law school, Dodd interned at the District Attorney's office in the family violence division drafting protective orders. She became licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 2001 where she went on to practice law as an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County. Throughout her time at the District Attorney's office, she had the unique opportunity to prosecute cases ranging from misdemeanor to felony for both adult and juvenile offenders. Being exposed to the criminal system, Dodd saw a need and opportunity to practice family law to advocate for her clients and their children.

Dodd is a member of the State Bar of Texas (Family Law and Juvenile sections), the Dallas (Family Law Section and Collin County Bar Associations (Family Law and Juvenile sections) and the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas.
