Practicing family law Texas since 1990, Camille Cooper Scroggins has come to believe that an effective family law attorney can work to improve a client’s overall experience during this very difficult time while also achieving desired results. Her practice has shifted from primarily litigation to a concentration in the areas of Collaborative Family Law, Mediation, and assisting clients with amicable divorces. She is skilled at helping clients seek creative, customized, and often mutually beneficial solutions in private, business-like, and non-combative settings outside of the courthouse.
With over 170 hours of training in Collaborative Family Law and Mediation, Scroggins has been highly successful in resolving cases using these alternative dispute resolution methods. She is a charter member and has served as Vice-Chairperson and Chairperson of the Collaborative Law Alliance of Collin County. Because of her outstanding reputation in the legal community, Scroggins was elected by her peers to be a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing access for all to the Texas justice system. This honor is given to only 2% of attorneys in Texas. Her other professional memberships include the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas, the State Bar of Texas (Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections), the Dallas Bar Association (Family Law, Collaborative Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections) and the Collin County Bar Association (Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections).
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Scroggins was co-captain of the Varsity Women's Tennis Team and recipient of the Hamilton Award for outstanding senior management student. Her law degree is from Louisiana State University, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board. Scroggins was licensed by the State Bar of Louisiana in 1989 (currently inactive), and by the State Bar of Texas in 1990.
Prior to becoming Of Counsel to Allison & Johnson, Scroggins was a Director and Shareholder at the full-service law firm now known as Hiersche, Hayward, Drakeley and Urbach, P.C., in Addison, Texas, and previously served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Fred C. Sexton, Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
